I found PC Train Line, Computer Tutors,via an advert in our Church Magazine - that gave me confidence right away. I found Jane Massey very friendly, patient and able to understand my incompatibility with computers and tech speak. She recognised that I needed much ongoing support. I have short term memory issues and struggle to learn. With her help I have a system set up that enables me to do all kinds of things previously impossible, like make and update spreadsheets of my contacts, so I can print labels, how to back up my photos and save them on hard drive and iCloud. She detects malware and makes sure I have the appropriate protection and am kept safe. I have been able to call PC Train Line and been given advice and support over the phone when desperate, in other words: Jane is my computer fairy godmother.

Two years ago, I found that I needed to extend my computer skills if I was to be able to continue with a new interest. This was not an easy task as for many years I had used a computer which had been set up for me and I needed only to learn default positions. I am, also, very elderly and sometimes find it difficult to develop new skills.
I approached “PC Train Line” and Jane Massey was prepared to help me. She was very clear indeed in the way she explained the procedures I needed to know and always insisted that I put each into practice a number of times while she was there to help me. Her patience and good humour were/are endless.
Several months later I needed help again. Just as before she explained carefully and watched as I tried to put my newly learned skills into practice. This time, however, I needed to make choices between different approaches to a problem. Sometimes these were quite complicated for me and her help was essential if I were to proceed. She used her own extensive knowledge of computer systems and even used her own time to research the most effective ways of achieving what I wanted to achieve.
Jane is a very skillful and conscientious tutor with wealth of understanding of computing and about her students. Her care and good humour give confidence to rather timid and, I am sure, to more confident students. I have no hesitation at all in recommending her to both novices and more skillful students who wish to extend their knowledge and understanding.
